Modish/Modern - Being in or conforming to the prevailing or current fashion; stylish

Mayhem -

1. Law The offense of willfully maiming or crippling a person.

2. Infliction of violent injury on a person or thing; wanton destruction: children committing mayhem in the flower beds.

3. A state of violent disorder or riotous confusion; havoc.

What does it mean when you put two words like this together?

I picture a group of very stylish children in a flower bed ripping the flowers up by the roots and throwing them about.

But seriously lets not think of anything. Lets for once not categorize but instead just let things be what they may be. Each blog, website or other various establishments typically are geared toward a certain group of people. A certain category if you will.

Let's say a "Christian" blog is geared toward those who call themselves "christian" but it is also sub-categorized by what "type" of Christian you are. For example there are different denominations which means different beliefs which means different lifestyles which means different struggles and needs.

Some Christians believe it is okay to consume alcohol while others do not. The typical contrast between these two is that their lifestyles are usually very different and they therefore flock towards the group that is most like them, the group that can "relate".  

I could give so may examples but will assume my readers get the point and can think for themselves as they read and are already saying "yeah thats true I know what you mean". 

There are people who already are saying this same thing in a way "we all need to have open minds and get along and learn from each other and let people be who they want to be, we should accept everybody and let everybody be accepted". This forms a category also. It's like people are brainwashed and can only repeat their "group's sayings" over and over again. 

If you really want to just "let things be" you don't need to give a speech or announcement about it. Heck you don't even need to say it. By not saying it you are letting things be.

If a preppy person sits down with a punk rocker and decides to hang out but each spends their time together focusing on themselves and how great they are for accepting and being with someone who's different did they learn anything from the other person? No they likely did not.

I say lets truly start letting things be. I see Modern Mayhem happening every day and I want to talk about it. I want to share what I think and hear what others think.
